What advice do you have for an aspiring cheerleader?
Some advice I would give for aspiring college cheerleaders is to work hard at everything you do. Do not ever give up because practice really does make perfect. Don't get discouraged and show that you really want it. Who were your heroes growing up?
My hero growing up was actually my little sister because she has a calming personality and a really good heart. She always seems to know what to do and has always been loyal. I have been through so much with her and I wouldn't know who I am today without her. What is the most difficult part about being a cheerleader? The toughest part about cheerleading is staying focused and determined no matter what happens. People really do not understand the strength and determination it takes to do what we do. Being in this sport comes with injuries just like any other sport.
How did you first get into cheerleading? I first started off as a competitive gymnast and did that for about 11 years and quit when I got to level 6. Then I just kept up with my tumbling in my spare time. Once I hit freshmen year of high-school I decided to try cheerleading and I have been doing it ever since.
What was your favorite subject in school? And why? My favorite subject in school was probably my science classes.
What has been your career highlight so far? My career highlight so far has been just making a college cheerleading team in general. I am so blessed to have made it and wouldn't have it any other way. Last year the team got 3rd place at nationals but this year we are going to get that national championship!!!
What do you do in your free time? In my free time I like to hang out with my friends and get out. My best friends mean the most to me and I do not know where I would be without them.
