Sean DeLaney

Pro Lacrosse Player

1.) What advice do you have for an pro lacrosse player?

It's all about keeping the stick in your hands and practicing the moves you will use in a game. It's always great hitting the wall and getting many reps there but I also like to get out and shoot on a cage. If you have a goalie to shoot on that, that is great, but if not try practicing shooting to good spots on the cage. When I go out and shoot I practice the specific moves and shots I take in a game and I always go "game speed".

2.) What has been your career highlight so far?

There have been a bunch but #1 would have to be beating Hopkins in overtime my junior year down in Chapel Hill during Alumni weekend.

3.) Who were your heroes growing up?

My parents, I could not be anymore thankful for how they raised me to be the man I am today. Sports heroes, the Powell brothers, nothing was better then getting to see them play. Also, Ray Lewis because there was no greater motivator and leader in the history of sports.

4.) What was your favorite subject in school? Why?

Entrepreneurship was by far the best class I have ever taken growing up. It taught me many real life skills I can use in my personal and business life.

5.) What do you like to do in your free time?

Hands down my favorite thing to do is spend time with my two dogs, I love taking them on the nature trail by my house. I am a huge fan of getting out and going to the gym. Also, I'm a huge fan of movies and great TV - Dexter, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Shameless, etc...
