-Describe your typical day.
I get up very early at around 6:30 a.m. I get online real quick and start answering e-mails. My responsibilities range from media outreach to shaping company messages to getting fighters on-board to promot their fights. It is pretty much around the clock.
-What do you like best about your job?
I like seeing my work come to fruition at an event. There is nothing more pleasing than seeing things go so well. No matter how many times you do an event it never gets old. It's exciting to see Strikeforce and the sport grow so much.
-What advice do you have for someone interested in going into the sports field?
School is very important. Also, this business is really about networking. You never know where a relationship will go to. the saying is true that the business is about who you know. Sometimes people underestimate the importance of relationships.
-What would be a dream fight to watch?
We have a lot out there right now. I would really like to see the rematch between Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum. This was a huge upset and I'd like to see them fight again.
-Who were your heroes growing up?
My grandfather, who recently passed away, and my parents. I had sports heroes like Michael Jordan, Mets' players, and also Knicks' players.
