Ken Griffey Sr.

1.) What is your career highlight so far?

I would say playing with my son in 1990.

2.) Who were your heroes growing up?

In baseball it was Stan Musial & Willie Stargell.

3.) What advice do you have for an aspiring baseball player?

The advice I would have is to work hard. It has to be a routine day in and day out. You can’t just slack off, you have to play it every day in order to get better.

4.) In your opinion, how has the game changed since you played?

The game really hasn’t changed. The only thing that has changed is the money part. They play the game the same way and they play it hard. Also, before it was just a one year contract, and now there are multi-contract deals.

5.) Who was the toughest pitcher you’ve ever faced?

Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Dock Ellis, John Candelaria. But the toughest one I had a problem hitting against was Bob Shirley.
