We Still Be7ieve!

What a great day in College Football! The undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide fell to the Texas A&M Aggies. The USC Trojans proved that they’re a force to be reckoned with by defeating the Arizona State University Sun Devils. Coming off two devastating losses to Arizona and Oregon, USC came into today’s game with something to prove. With alumni and Trojan Olympians present as well as the students and season ticket holders, USC had Trojan Pride running rampant!

The first half of the game proved tough for both the Trojan offense and defense. ASU scored first, stunning the Trojan fans. However, they weren’t leading for long. USC tied the game up by the end of the first quarter. Quarterback Matt Barkley, however, threw for two interceptions in the first, leading fans to question how the game would turn out. The second quarter played out much like the first. ASU scored again, leaving USC fighting for survival. Once again, Barkley threw another interception, his third of the day. But, he didn’t let the Trojans down. They rallied back to tie the game at the end of the first half, 14 to 14.

Coming into the second half, USC had something to prove. They weren’t rated the number one team in college football to start this season for nothing. With this in mind, the Trojans had a fire in them that hadn’t been seen in a while. ASU took the lead again with a field goal to start the second half, but their lead was short lived. The third quarter featured two more touchdowns from USC who led ASU for the first time in the game. The game didn’t slow down in the fourth. USC put more points on the board with a field goal and another touchdown. The Trojans finished the game with a 38 to 17 victory over the visiting Sun Devils.

The Trojans will keep this momentum going as they travel up the road to pay UCLA a visit next Saturday and finish their season at home Thanksgiving weekend against Notre Dame. With USC proving they’re not out of the race yet and talks of Marqise Lee, Barkley, and Robert Woods being in the race for the Heisman Trophy, these last two games mean more than anything. Fight On SC! Let’s finish this season out right!
