Warrior for Heroes: MMA vs. PTSD

By: Matthew Pearlman

Thousands and thousands of people are living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) today. The US Troops, are averaging one suicide per day.  The youngest suicides in the US Troops are between the ages of 17-24. It is a crazy, depressing disease that only is treated with therapy.

Adam Muffler was 24, and already had two combat tours in Iraq when he took his own life on November 4, 2012. He was an MMA Fighter, with a record of 1-1, and was training for his third fight.

Tonight at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis there is a huge MMA event that benefits people suffering from PTSD. UFC Hall of Famer - Randy Couture will be in attendance.  A number of top fighters will be in the cage tonight - Ashley Cummins, Mark Dickman, Gena Begley, Hannah McNitt, Tyler Perry, Chris Heatherly, Dakota Cochrane and others.

Buy your tickets now!  If you can't attend the event, please make a donation to this great cause at: http://ammo-usa.org.  The soldiers fought to protect our freedom - now we need to help them in their own fight to live a healthy and happy life back in the USA.

We hope to see you there!
