Justin Baesman Pre-Fight Interview

By: Matthew Pearlman

Justin Baesman is not only an MMA fighter, he's a very well accomplished kickboxer. Compiling a record of 17-6-1, he caught the eye of Glory Kickboxing. He will be making his debut May 8th as the co-main event on Glory 21 against Raymond Daniels.

Baesman looks to make a statement in his debut. He's trained a lot in preparation for this bout, "Training has been great, early mornings I do bag work and go for a long run with a weighted vest. Later I train with Big Mo on strength and conditioning. After that, I train with Tater Lohr on boxing/kickboxing."

He talked to me a little about his opponent, "My opponent is Raymond Daniels, he's a very talented and experienced fighter. He's the biggest test of my career, it's an honor to go to war with such a great martial artist."

He is really excited for his debut, "It feels amazing, I'm starting a new chaper in my life and building my name. I'm extremely excited and looking forrward to making a home with Glory, so putting on a good show is mandatory."

Baesman has a really tough opponent in Raymond Daniels. He trained at many different places, "I jumped to a lot of different gyms (seven overall) to get ready for this fight."

He is not sure exactly how the fight will end, "The fight could end three different ways, he knocks me out, I knock him out, or it goes to the judges. We are both going out there looking for a finish because that's what needs to be done. It's going to be a war. "

Baesman is a very well-rounded, dangerous fighter. He talked to me about what he brings to the table, "What I bring to the table is my heart, determination, I'm known  for my kicks so I will make for a good fight. I have a lot of power in my hands and knees. I have so much fire in my heart knowing what this fight does for me, and my conditioning will hold me down as I come in guns blazing, going all out looking for a finish."

Make sure you tune into Spike TV on May 8th to watch Baesman make his debut.
